Noel Gallagher has revealed his brother Liam was on “spectacular form” as they watched Manchester City win the Carabao Cup on Sunday.
The Oasis brothers attended the EFL Cup final together at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon (March 22), where they saw their beloved Man City defeat Arsenal 2-0 to lift the trophy for the eighth time in their history, thanks to goals from Nico O’Reilly.
It is the first time the Gallagher brothers have been seen together in public since the final date of the Oasis Live ‘25 comeback tour in Sao Paulo, Brazil in November.
Noel spoke about the “great, great, great time” they had at the match during an appearance on TalkSport on Monday (March 23), when he said they were in “a quite boozy box” in the stadium for the game, with both Noel and Liam’s kids also in attendance.
“We celebrated it hard. I’m not sure if I can overstate the importance of that yesterday for us. The League Cup’s not important to Man City the organisation, they’re not built for League Cups, but for that team – half the squad is new players, for them to win their first medals and beat the best team in the league, the best team in Europe, that’s huge for us yesterday.”
Revealing how they ended up in the same corporate box at Wembley together, Noel added: “He invited me in his box. He was on spectacular form. On either side of us were two Arsenal boxes and let’s put it this way, he was letting them know that he was there.”

In January, Noel took a tongue-in-cheek jab at City’s rivals Manchester United, comparing them to The Libertines in a less-than-complimentary analogy.
Noel also designed the font on City’s home kit for the 2024/25 season and then designed a new clothing range for them inspired by Oasis‘ 1994 album ‘Definitely Maybe’.
In other Oasis news, the first images from the band’s epic Oasis Live ‘25 Opus photo book have been released. The book will include 1000 original photos from the reunion tour and you can find out about how to order the different versions here.
In other Oasis news, Steven Knight recently shared more details about his upcoming documentary on the reunion tour, which is said to include “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s first meeting before the shows began.
