Noah Cyrus Performs With Dad Billy Ray at Album Release Event in London

Noah Cyrus had a special guest at her album release show in London: Her dad. On Friday, the star celebrated  I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me by singing a pair of songs with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Billy Ray took the stage to sing his duet with Noah, “Stand Still,’ from her 2022 album The Hardest Part. They also sang “With You,” a song Billy Ray wrote in his youth, which Noah covered on her new album. (She also dedicated the track to the late XXXTentacion, who was one of Noah’s friends.)

“Thank you always to my incredibly talented band and to my father, who I love so dearly, for joining us,” she wrote in an Instagram post with footage from the night. “We got to sing ‘Stand Still’ and ‘With You,’ which is actually a song my father wrote from his childhood bedroom and was one of the first songs he ever wrote.”

Noah described “With You” as a song that’s brought her comfort since she “was a little kid,” adding that “it meant so much to me to be singing it together” with her father. (In videos, the father-daughter pair were seen interacting onstage after a feather dropped from his hat.)

“It’s always been the gift of music that’s brought us together,” Cyrus said in the post. “Feeling extremely grateful for the incredible fans who were singing every word from the new record. I’m one lucky girl.”

Cyrus released I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me on July 11, featuring songs such as “Way of the World” with Ella Langley, “New Country” with Blake Shelton, and “Don’t Put It All on Me” featuring Fleet Foxes. “As a whole, the project benefits from a fuller approach that feels like an artist coming into her own — it’s a sign of growth, it’s a testament to flourishing,” Rolling Stone said in a review of the record.
