Nicki Minaj rode in style to a Republican rally in Port Huron, Mich., on Sunday (Oct. 25), as she joined Donald Trump and members of his administration on Air Force One.
The rapper shared a video of herself on the presidential jet on X Sunday (Oct. 25), walking around the lavish aircraft as she adjusted her hair. “#AirForceOneBARBIE,” she captioned the clip along with an airplane emoji.
Trump had invited Minaj to the rally’s podium — introducing her as the queen of rap — to address the audience while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. The Queens rapper continued the love affair, gushing about the president.
“President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time,” she said. “And I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again.”
Minaj continued: “I am so honored to be working with this president. He represents resilience. Since he’s come back, he’s changed the energy of our country. And he’s given us a future to look forward to, a brighter future for us and our children.”
The “Super Bass” rapper advocated for the re-election of the Republican Party’s candidates, led a “we love Trump” chant and also addressed transgender issues with children.
“We really need all of these great people to be elected,” Minaj said. “We don’t want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right? We don’t want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone. Leave them out of it.”
Before bringing Minaj on stage, Trump’s comments complimenting the rapper’s behind went viral. “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a– before, Nicki Minaj! That’s hard to miss,” he said.
There’s been speculation about Minaj stepping into the vacated press secretary role after Katie Zacharia was fired on Oct. 16 following just five days on the job. White House communications director Steven Cheung added to the rumors by posting a clip in a mock interview with Minaj on Air Force One on X Sunday.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary,” Cheung captioned the video, tagging the rapper.
Minaj has been aligning herself with Trump and the Republican Party throughout 2026. She served as a judge for the Trump administration’s small-business Million Dollar Pitch Competition, which offered a $1 million prize.
The 43-year-old reconnected with Trump in the Oval Office on Oct. 20 and reaffirmed that her political allegiances won’t be changing anytime soon. “Not going anywhere. Right where I need to be,” she wrote on X.
Minaj — whose most recent album, December 2023’s Pink Friday 2, topped the Billboard 200 — met the president for the first time at a Trump Accounts Summit in January, where she crowned herself as his No. 1 fan. Trump returned the favor at a presidential luncheon in July, calling Minaj a “fantastic person and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody.”
