Mysterious billboard from Glastonbury ‘TBA’ act appears in Castle Cary

A mysterious billboard regarding a ‘TBA’ Glastonbury performer has appeared at Castle Cary.

The iconic festival returns to Worthy Farm in Somerset this week, and runs between June 25 and 29. Headliners are Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo on the Pyramid Stage, and Loyle Carner, Charli XCX and The Prodigy on the Other Stage. Rod Stewart will be playing Sunday’s Legend’s Slot.

The full line-up and day splits were unveiled recently, and fans were quick to spot a number of potential secret sets planned for 2025.

Most notably, there’s a glaring ‘TBA’ at the Pyramid stage on Friday before Alanis Morrissette‘s set. There’s also a mystery show at the Woodsies early on Friday at 11.30am, whilst the Park Stage also has a gap on Saturday between Gary Numan and Beth Gibbons.

A mysterious act called “Patchwork” will also be playing at the Pyramid Stage on Saturday – which bookies are convinced is either HAIM, Pulp or Lorde.

Now, speculation has been bumped up a notch as a mysterious billboard has been spotted in Castle Cary – the train station located closest to the festival.

It was noticed by a fan who took to social media to start a discussion. The billboard is white and has simple red writing that reads “I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up.”

It also has a phone number to text for more information, and when you reach out, it sends a message that reads “Hey it’s TBA, thanks for signing up,” and offers a link for punters to sign up to save a “contact card”. It also sends another message that reads: “I’m gonna get up and live until the day that I die”.

It is unknown whether the two messages shared are lyrics to a currently unreleased song or something else. It isn’t yet clear which artist it is relating to, although the person who shared the update speculates that it could be from Lewis Capaldi.

As well as HAIM, Lorde, Pulp and Lewis Capaldi being rumoured as having a secret set planned, others with their name in the mix include Sam Fender – who has just played some giant summer outdoor shows this year and has a hefty Glasto-sized gap in his touring schedule – and Robbie Williams, who also has a gap in his huge UK, Ireland and Europe tour and is gearing up to share his new album ‘BRITPOP’, which has a cover that references his iconic 1995 appearance.

The act with the best odds to be ‘Patchwork’ is Pulp – who recently played some UK live shows and released their first album in 24 years, ‘More’.

The band have denied rumours of a Glasto appearance though, with frontman Jarvis Cocker saying the band would only go back for a performance if it was a “life or death situation”, and keyboardist Candida Doyle, saying that Glastonbury “weren’t interested” in booking the band – despite this year marking three decades since their headline slot. Despite all of this, they are still the most heavily speculated.

Rumours around Lorde come as the Kiwi singer is gearing up to share her new album ‘Virgin’ on Friday (June 27), and recently told Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 that she was eager to “pull some strings” to try and make a Glasto appearance.

As for HAIM, the group released their ‘I Quit’ album on June 20 and have begun hinting at a gig at The Park Stage in recent interviews.

If it were to be Lewis Capaldi who is behind the new billboard in Castle Cary, it would be his first since he played on the Pyramid stage in 2023, but struggled with his voice several times due to tics caused by Tourette’s – the neurological condition he has open about suffering with.
