Muse share dramatic taster of new single ‘Be With You’

Muse have shared a dramatic taster of their forthcoming new single ‘Be With You’ – check it out below.

The rousing snippet, sees frontman Matt Bellamy performing in a church on an organ and finds the band returning to their more operatic side as the frontman sings: “It seems my life’s been swallowed up / I’ve used up every ounce of luck/ I need to leap into the fire, found a higher power and reach for something new,” over dramatic keys.

It is unclear when the single is set to land but it is the first material since last year’s ‘Unravelling’.

The band are currently working on their 10th studio album having released their ninth and latest full-length record, ‘Will Of The People’, in 2022.

Last February, bassist Chris Wolstenholme talked about the future of Muse, and suggested that the trio were thinking about a new album – which could be arriving this year.

“I think we’re gonna start work on the next record fairly soon,” he said, explaining that the group weren’t signed to a label at the time.

“I think for the last few albums we’ve been with Warner and we’ve extended after each album,” the musician continued. “We may do the same again; we may go with a new label, who knows.”

As for when fans could expect the next Muse LP, Wolstenholme revealed that they would be starting work “very, very soon, like in the next couple of months” at the time. “I would imagine that 2026 will be a new album, barring any disasters,” he commented.

In January this year the band cancelled a series of forthcoming concerts “due to unforeseen circumstances”.

They were due to play the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on February 4, Johannesburg in South Africa on February 7, Cape Town on February 11, and Bengaluru in India, on February 14. They have yet to announce any new dates.

The band embarked on a European tour last year including a show at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival, which saw the band step in for Kings Of Leon.

NME described the show as an “era-spanning, revolutionary space-tacular” with “Matt Bellamy and co easing into their new cycle with riffs and revolution”.
