The MTV VMAs 2025 took place last night (Sunday September 7) – check out all the live performances from the ceremony below.
This year’s edition of the annual awards show took place at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga went home with the biggest prizes with Video Of The Year and Artist Of The Year, respectively.
Other winners included Sabrina Carpenter with Best Album (‘Short n’ Sweet’) and Best Pop Artist, Kendrick Lamar with Best Cinematography (‘Not Like Us’) and BLACKPINK with Best Group.
Elsewhere, BLACKPINK’s Rosé made history as the first K-pop act to pick up the Song Of The Year gong at the VMAs with her Bruno Mars collaboration, ‘APT.’. See the full list of winners here.
There was a host of live performances, too. Yungblud teamed up with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry to honour Ozzy Osbourne, while Doja Cat delivered an ’80s-inspired airing of ‘Jealous Type’ with the help of Kenny G.
Additionally, KATSEYE played ‘Gnarly’ and ‘Gabriela’, with Mariah Carey – the recipient of this year’s Video Vanguard Award – going viral for her “bare minimum” live medley of hits, concluding with ‘We Belong Together’.
Also taking to the stage were the likes of Lola Young (who was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Alternative), Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae (who won Song Of The Summer with ‘Just Keep Watching’), Busta Rhymes (winner of the MTV VMA Rock The Bells Visionary Award) and J Balvin (who was nominated for Best Latin).
