It’s the collab you didn’t know you needed to go alongside your Thanksgiving turkey: MGK teamed up with the Jonas Brothers for the “Cliche” remix on Tuesday (Nov. 25).

“Cliche” arrived in May and served as the lead single for MGK’s Lost Americana album, which peaked at No. 61 on the Billboard Hot 100.

MGK kicks off “Cliche” in the same fashion as the original before inviting the Jonas Brothers to invade the pop-rock track, where Nick, Kevin and Joe are a natural fit, meshing the trio’s balance of textured and smooth vocals covering MGK’s lyrics.

Fans were caught off guard by the unexpected collaboration, but welcomed it with open arms. “Please give us a music vid for this remix. I would lose my mind to see the Jonas Brothers doing boy band dances with MGK,” one person wrote on YouTube.

“Cliche” found MGK getting back in his pop bag and he put his dance moves to the test and delivered a car wash-themed visual reminiscent of something boy bands would release circa 2000.

The Jonas Brothers and MGK have linked up at concerts in the past. Back in September, Kells popped out at a Vancouver JoBros concert at Rogers Arena, where they joined forces to perform “Cliche” and the boy band’s “Sucker” anthem.

Perhaps the Jonas Brothers will return the favor as a special guest on MGK’s Lost Americana tour, which hits Omaha on Tuesday (Nov. 25) before heading north of the border for shows in Calgary and Edmonton.
