The mad villains have linked up once again.
Madlib, the MF DOOM estate, Stones Throw Records, and Rhymesayers Entertainment have released “One Beer (Madlib Remix)” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the late rapper and producer’s fifth solo album MM..FOOD. The version featured on the album is also produced by Madlib, but was credited to DOOM. The song was supposed to make their seminal work Madvillainy, also from 2004, but they felt it didn’t fit the vibes.
“One Beer (Madlib Remix)” is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this reissue. There’s also going to be remixes of “Hoe Cakes” by Atmosphere’s Ant, Jake One, and a Beatboxapella version. The deluxe vinyl version will come with a 7-inch of a Just Blaze remix of “Kookies” and a rare original version. There will also be a QR code linking to DOOM’s MM..FOOD Diner Augmented Reality experienceinterview clips featured entitled “The Evolution From Zev Love X to MF Doom,” “Being Embraced by a Diverse Fanbase,” “Conquering Writer’s Block,” “Doing Production vs Working with Producers,” “The Making of MM..FOOD,” “MM..FOOD Favorites,” and “The Future of Gas Drawls & Rhymesayer.”

Fans can also cop limited edition merch like sticker packs, pins, apparel, and a cereal bowl set. The 20th anniversary edition of MM..FOOD drops Nov. 15 and you can pre-order everything including the vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital version at GasDrawls and Rhymesayers. Online toy store Super 7 has the cereal bowl set, as well.
This reissue will come a few weeks after his authorized biography, The Chronicles of DOOM: Unraveling Rap’s Masked Iconoclast, is released on Oct. 29 written by S.H. Fernando Jr. and published by Astra House.
