Meek Mill responds to reports Diddy threw his 27th birthday party: “It’s war on Black men”

Meek Mill has spoken out following various reports claiming that Diddy threw his 27th birthday party.

The Philly rapper took to X/Twitter yesterday (November 20), to express his frustration at numerous news outlets sharing a surfaced video, alleging that it was footage of a party that Diddy held for him to celebrate his birthday.

The footage, reportedly from 2014, featured exotic dancers wearing masks and naked women with sushi on them. As well as Meek Mill and Diddy, Complex writes that other famous faces that appear to be seen include King Bach, French Montana and Lil Durk.

Sharing a series of photos and screen-recorded videos of him scrolling through related news reports on Google, Meek Mill criticised the outlets for sharing the reports and claimed that the publications are “posting major lies about me”, alleging that they are a “war on black men”.

“None of these publications are owned by Black men, posting things to destroy the names and brands of the culture,” he began. “Ima stand on this. I know it’s somebody behind this! Ima start a war behind it too when I find out!!!!”

He also shared a follow-up post, suggesting that his PR team have not intervened and calling the headlines “major lies”. “Just think about it, you are waking up to a bunch of non Black owned publication posting major lies about me! Where all the pr people go that was around me! Everybody see what’s going on I’m not gonna be quiet it’s war on Black men!”

In a recently deleted tweet, he wrote that outlet Page Six was one in particular that gave him a “bad vibe” because they allegedly “posted only good Meek Mill news” up until “two years” ago. He also went on to reference the recent fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson: “Like what just happened with Mike Tyson show his ass out get him beat by a young white kid c’mon it’s a mockery!”

At the time of writing, Page Six has not responded to Mill’s comments about the publication.

Meek Mill later said he looked into who owned the publications via the AI-powered platform ChatGPT. “Why nobody looking at the fact of who we consuming this news from …. I went to chat gpt none of these people are even Americans and not close to the Black party,” he added, and also claimed that the video of his 27th birthday party that was shared “wasn’t even puff [Diddy] party.”

The Philly rapper has distanced himself from Diddy amid the influx of allegations that came to light in recent months.

Concluding his series of updates on X/Twitter, Meek Mill said: “They putting Black men in jail off stories … I wish puff well. He’s a Black man. I hope he didn’t do most of that shit they saying he did.”

“Literally you can wake up to 70 publications posting the same non factual story … that’s a media smear campaign …. Nobody believe yall anymore and yall madddddd lol.”

Diddy – real name Sean Combs – is currently facing over two dozen lawsuits, while he’s also battling a criminal prosecution and has been held in a federal jail in Brooklyn since his arrest on September 16.

He has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for prostitution, and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He was later denied bail having offered a $50million (£38.4m) bond, and was reportedly placed on suicide watch as he awaits trial. The artist has since appealed against the bail denial and has a trial date scheduled for May 5, 2025.

Earlier this week, another wave of sexual misconduct lawsuits were filed against the rapper. He denied these fresh claims of sexual misconduct through his reps, with his media team telling Rolling Stone in a statement: “As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process.”

As highlighted by Complex, Diddy and Meek Mill have recorded music together in the past, and previously went viral after showing up to a party wearing the same outfits.
