Maná and Los Tigres Del Norte Will Perform at Kamala Harris Rallies in Nevada and Arizona

Legendary Mexican groups Maná and Los Tigres Del Norte will join Vice President Kamala Harris at key rallies in Arizona and Nevada next week, Rolling Stone has learned.

On Oct. 31, Los Tigres Del Norte will perform at a campaign event in Phoenix, where Harris is expected to speak. The Vice President will then jet to Las Vegas, where she’ll be joined by Maná, to target undecided Latino voters in both battleground states.

“Los Tigres del Norte and Maná are trusted voices for their fans, many listen to their music, follow the bands on social media, and find inspiration in their music,” a source close to the Harris campaign tells Rolling Stone. “They are invested in this campaign because they know what’s at stake, and they can further encourage and mobilize people to go vote.”

Both rallies are part of the Harris-Walz ticket’s “When We Vote We Win” concert and rally series, which has included events in swing states featuring Bruce Springsteen and Tyler Perry. The Harris-Walz campaign has focused efforts on undecided Latino voters in the final days of the election. Harris stopped by a Univision town hall earlier this month and Gov. Tim Walz recently joined the radio show El Bueno, La Mala, y El Feo.

The Tigres and Maná appearances come a few weeks after the two bands joined a cohort of artists, including Ramón Ayala, Chiquis, and Los Ángeles Azules, to condemn the former president Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant messaging and his presidency’s long-term effects it’s had on the Latino community.

Maná also made headlines after they pulled their song with Nicky Jam from streaming services after the reggaetón musician joined Trump at a rally in Vegas. “There is no business or promotion that is worth more than the dignity of our people,” the band wrote. “That is why today Maná decided to remove its collaboration with Nicky Jam.”

Mexican music has played a vital role in activating Latino voters in swing states. Just on Thursday, La Original Banda el Limón released a corrido in honor of Harris, titled “Señora Presidenta.” “We hope that in these final moments, the song inspires our community to embrace our strength and together to show up in a critical moment,” the band’s leader Juan Barboza told Rolling Stone.

On the same day as the Harris rallies with Tigres Del Norte and Maná, non-profit organization Grita Canta Vota will host a Votapalooza concert in Southern California, headlined by Tucanes de Tijuana, Lupita Infante, and Grupo Control.
