Man/Woman/Chainsaw sign to Fiction Records to launch euphoric ‘Only Girl’ and announce 2026 tour dates

Man/Woman/Chainsaw have signed to Fiction Records to launch their new single ‘Only Girl’, and a string of 2026 tour dates. Find all the details below.

The group are celebrating joining the label, also home to The Cure, St. Vincent, The Horrors and Billie Marten, with the new track, which was recorded at RAK Studios with producers Seth Evans and Margo Broom.

Described by lead vocalist Vera Leppänen as “our playful love song”, the euphoric track is “built around a ripping violin top-line and birthed from a grungy guitar jam,” as she explains. “It gradually became something more boisterous and altogether more joyful – a total declaration of love. We had a lot of fun making it.”

Per a press release, it comes ahead of a debut album, set to be released in 2026. Check out the track below.

The group have also announced a free entry London show at Omeara on December 2. Alongside that gig, they’ll headline dates in February in Hebden Bridge, Edinburgh, and Liverpool, with tickets going on sale this Friday (November 21) at 10am, here.

Man/Woman/Chainsaw’s live dates are:

DECEMBER
2 – Omeara, London

JANUARY
14 – Groningen, Eurosonic Noorderslag
30 – Southampton, So Young Weekender, Suburbia
31 – Bedford, Ceremony 5.5, Esquires

FEBRUARY
18 – The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge
19 – Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh
20 – O2 Academy 2, Liverpool
21 – Borderline Festival, Workman’s Club, Dublin

Man/Woman/Chainsaw were named one of NME‘s 100 Essential Emerging Artists to watch out for in 2025. The London-based band were praised for their “circus of orchestral grunge insanity”.

Writing about the band, NME said: “Their name may conjure the grizzliest and most gnarly of B-movies – and this jazzy quintet sure know how to petrify a village or two with their runaway art-rock chaos – but at their core is an elegant playfulness and future-proof curiosity. Grab your pitchforks and come get weird down at the front at the loudest horrorshow of 2025.”

In a four-star review of Man/Woman/Chainsaw’s 2024 album ‘Eazy Peazy’, NME praised the band’s “fusion of grand strings and pianos with more traditional, riff-based rock chaos”.

It added: “‘Eazy Peazy’ practically fizzes with youthful energy and the possibilities of musical creation. It’s raw and throws everything in its sizeable arsenal at the wall, however, basically everything sticks. The resulting effort’s audacious energy is a sight to behold and whips with enough force to spin your head clean off your shoulders.”
