A man has been arrested for stabbing a fellow concertgoer multiple times at a metalcore gig.

The incident took place on December 27 during a live concert in San Antonio, Texas. At the Paper Tiger venue, police were called after a member of the audience attacked another concertgoer, stabbing him several times, according to Consequence.

Local police arrived at the scene after receiving a call around 10pm local time and arrested a 36-year-old by the name of John Guerrero. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

At the venue, the 21-year-old victim was found outside the building with multiple stab wounds. Guerrero was still at the scene when police arrived and pointed out to officers by other concertgoers.

A knife was found at the scene and the victim was rushed to hospital. It has been reported that he is in stable condition and expected to recover.

A local news outlet called KSAT later shared an update, reporting that Guerrero was taken to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on December 28 and later released on a $100,000 bond (the equivalent of £80,594).

According to the report by KSAT, Court documents show that Guerrero is expected to head to court for a hearing related to the incident on March 3.

On the night, a band called Life Cycles was the headlining act, and other sets at the event included performances by bands Fear Of Loss, Public Threat, Crossways 3000 and Voracious Contempt.
