Maluma hits out at fan for bringing a baby to his concert: “Do you think it’s a good idea where the decibels are this fucking high?”

Columbian musician Maluma paused a recent concert in Mexico to call out a mother for bringing her baby to his show.

The moment, which took place during the singer’s three-night run of shows at Palacio de los Deportes, saw the artist focus his attention on an audience member who had brought a young child along to the show – seemingly without proper ear protection.

“With all due respect… how old are they?” Maluma asked before adding: “A year old? Less? A year. Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this fucking high? Where is the sound this loud?”

“That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here,” he added. “Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility. You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real.”

“I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.”

The show was part of Maluma’s ‘+Pretty +Dirty World Tour’, which launched in Spain earlier this year before touring throughout Europe and Latin America.

The current run of dates in Mexico launched in Mexico City on August 6 and will wrap with a date in Guadalajara on August 16 before the tour finishes with a show in El Salvador on August. 23.

Maluma recently made a stop at Baja Beach Festival at Mexico’s Rosarito Beach to headline alongside J Balvin and Don Omar. The event also featured performances from Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko and Brazilian pop star Anitta.

During his career, Maluma has won a Latin Grammy Award, an MTV Video Music Award, two Latin American Music Awards, and been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album.
