“We’re absolutely buzzin’ to announce our ‘Let’s Take Another Trip’ Tour for 2025,” the band wrote on Instagram. “We can’t wait to get out there and play live again! Gonna be magic! See you all next year!”

Formed in 1989, Northside only released one album, 1991’s ‘Chicken Rhythms’ via Factory Records and cemented them as a fixture in the turn-of-the-’90s Madchester scene. Their song ‘Shall We Take a Trip’ was banned by the BBC due to its various drug references but despite its lack of airplay, it managed to break into the Top 50 on the UK charts.

‘Chicken Rhythms’ peaked at Number 19 on the UK Charts in June 1991. The band split up the following year after Factory Records declared bankruptcy. Northside did record a second album but never released it.

Throughout the years, the band have reunited for shows occasionally but their final performance together was at a hometown gig in Manchester back in 2015.
