Former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne has shared a new solo single called ‘Burning Up’. Listen below.
The fiery, sultry song captures the intoxicating rush of love and freedom, and draws inspiration from the pop star’s Caribbean heritage. It contains pounding drums and distorted, textured vocals from Leigh-Anne.
“‘Burning Up’ came to life at a writing camp in New York with some of the most inspiring writers and producers I’ve ever worked with. We went in with no rules, just vibes and instinct,” the singer explained.
“The beat hit me instantly; it felt euphoric, high-energy, but there was something emotional running through it too, which made it more than just a banger.”
She continued: “I played with my voice in ways I never have before with different textures, phrasing, pushing my range. It really stretched me as an artist, and I think you can feel that in the track.”
The single was produced by Elijah ‘GYW Eli’ Ross, who also helmed Leigh-Anne’s previous single ‘Been A Minute’. Check it out above.
‘Burning Up’ arrived just ahead of Leigh-Anne taking to the stage at Reading & Leeds 2025 last weekend.
During an interview with NME at the festival, the singer talked about how she is entering a “new era” as an independent artist, and revealed that her new album is “nearly done”.
“It’s so, so close, and I’m already so happy that I can actually say that! It’s everything that I wanted it to be. It’s the mix of the sounds that I love, paired with my Leigh-Anne pop stamp,” she said.
“That’s something that I’ve always wanted; to find the balance of Leigh-Anne, the pop star, but also the musical genres that I love. Whether it be reggae or R&B – it’s about merging that and putting my stamp on it.”

Leigh-Anne’s most recent two tracks mark her first new music since her 2024 EP ‘No Hard Feelings’.
Meanwhile, her ex-Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards has announced her debut solo album ‘Perrie’, and shared a single called ‘If He Wanted To He Would’. JADE, meanwhile, will release her first solo record ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!’ next month.
