Listen to Fred Again.., Skepta and PlaqueBoyMax’s explosive collab ‘Victory Lap’

Fred Again.., Skepta and PlaqueBoyMax have joined forces on a joint new single – listen to ‘Victory Lap’ below.

The song marks the Grammy and BRIT-winning producer/DJ’s first collaboration with Mercury-winning grime artist Skepta. It sees the pair team up with US rapper and YouTuber PlaqueBoyMax.

‘Victory Lap’ is the first official release from Fred Again.. this year, and had previously been teased by the artist during his recent Twitch streams. In a post on Instagram yesterday, he told fans: “Streaming later. Releasing something.”

Fred Again.. later live-streamed a “release party” via the platform. He played the explosive  ‘Victory Lap’ in front of an audience of fans at a pop-up rave at the Brooklyn Paramount in New York.

The studio version of the track then arrived today (June 18) via Atlantic. You can listen to it below, and check out a clip of the NYC performance.

Fred Again..’s latest album, ‘Ten Days’, arrived last September. It features contributions from Anderson. Paak, Skrillex, The Japanese House, Chika and more.

In a four-star review, NME said that the UK top 10 record “excels on two fronts – when Fred and his collaborators dig up a more interesting take on the influence of love, and when the producer turns his sights to the dancefloor”.

He brought the ‘Ten Days’ “chapter” to a close in December 2024, by sharing a two-song mini EP titled ‘Two More Days’.

Earlier this year, Fred Again.. was spotted in the studio with Justin Bieber – sparking rumours of new music from the pair.

Next month will see the producer/DJ play a run of shows in Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul, before delivering a headline set at Fuji Rocks Festival in Niigata, Japan.

Meanwhile, Skepta is set to bring the 2025 edition of his Big Smoke Festival to London’s Crystal Palace Park this summer.
