Linkin Park offer discounted tickets for North American tour, Dodgers Stadium show downsized

Linkin Park have announced a limited number of discounted tickets for all dates on their upcoming US tour while also downsizing their LA show.

The band announced a huge world tour last November to support the release of ‘From Zero’, their first new album since the passing of frontman Chester Bennington and the introduction of Emily Armstrong as the new singer.

As well as a huge show at Wembley Stadium, the tour includes a range of arenas around the US and Canada, with an additional mega show having initially been announced for Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium on September 13.

Now, an updated tour poster has revealed that the Dodgers Stadium show has been downsized to the city’s Intuit Dome – a shift from the Dodgers’ 56,000 capacity to Intuit’s 18,000.

The stadium show had also been advertised to feature sets from Queens Of The Stone Age and Jpegmafia, but the new poster only includes mention of the latter, with no reference to QOTSA.

Customers who had bought tickets to the Dodgers Stadium show will receive a full refund and will be given first opportunity to purchase tickets for the Intuit Dome show. A pre-sale begins at 10am local time on Thursday (April 3), and you can get yours here.

All other North American dates on the ‘From Zero’ tour will also now offer ‘Up From The Bottom’ reduced-price tickets at a value of $39.50 (plus taxes and fees), with recipients being given randomly allocated tickets anywhere in the arena in question. The limited tickets can be requested here up until 11:59pm on Wednesday (April 2).

Last week, the band shared their new single, also titled ‘Up From The Bottom’, which is taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of ‘From Zero’, which is due out on May 16 – pre/order here.

The song was first hinted at earlier this month, with DJ/producer Joe Hahn describing it as “the best song we’ve ever made.” Shinoda also chimed in to say he thinks it’s also the “best music video” that Linkin Park have made to date.

‘From Zero’ was given a three-star review by NME, which described the record as having “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some perplexingly tired songwriting”.

“Crucially, ‘From Zero’ must be viewed as a reset, exemplified by its title which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero,” it read. “Therefore, any inevitable comparisons to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: an organic desire from Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Shinoda to create together as Linkin Park once more.”
