Lily Allen “run off the road” by HGV while driving her new Porsche

Lily Allen has revealed that she was recently “run off the road” by an HGV while driving her new Porsche.

In an Instagram post today (January 19), the ‘Pussy Palace’ singer shared details of the ordeal, while stressing that she is “happy to be alive” after the incident.

“Could have done without an HGV running me off the road but other than that a relatively good start to 2026,” she wrote, alongside a series of photographs showing her relaxing in an attractive resort, as well as her car, complete with new scratches.

“Happy to be alive and to not be posting any photos taken in 2016,” she added, referring to a recent Instagram trend of posting pics from a decade ago.

Allen’s new Porsche appears to be a recent purchase, after she revealed in a recent episode of her podcast Miss Me with Miquita Oliver that she had been on a binge of buying expensive things.

“You’ve got to treat yourself and mark the moment,” she said. “I’m convinced I’m a billionaire, Handbags have been bought, jewels and a car has been bought.”

Allen has been enjoying a major comeback in recent months, thanks to the release of her fifth album ‘West End Girl’ last year. The record was written and recorded in just 10 days following the breakdown of her marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, and has been a runaway success, leading to a Saturday Night Live appearance and a sold-out tour.

NME gave the album a four-star review, writing: “Diving into the complexities of love and loss, the rumbling ‘Relapse’ is about living up to the expectations of others, joyfully funky ‘Nonmonogamummy’ tackles dating in your late thirties and the art of people pleasing, before ‘Beg For Me’ has Allen listing exactly what she needs from a relationship. It leads into the determined, no-nonsense ‘Let You W/in’ and the smirking clarity of ‘Fruityloop’, which has her quoting her second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’. By the end of ‘West End Girl’, it’s clear the relationship in this tale might be over, but Lily Allen’s comeback is just getting started.”

It was also named as one of NME’s 50 best albums of 2025.

Lily Allen is set to perform ‘West End Girl’ in full at a run of UK and Ireland arena shows this summer. These dates will follow a series of smaller live gigs in March. Find any remaining tickets here.

Last November, it was announced that the singer would also be headlining London’s Mighty Hoopla 2026 – a move that led to over 35,000 tickets being sold in just 30 minutes.
