Liam Payne’s 911 call made by hotel employee revealed

Details of the 911 call made for the late Liam Payne have been published.

The former One Direction member tragically died last night (October 16) aged 31, after reportedly falling from the third floor of an Argentine hotel. CNN has since confirmed the British singer’s death via a statement from local authorities.

Now, details of an alleged 911 call made by the hotel’s head of reception have been published by the Mail Online, with the employee reportedly describing “a guest who is off his head on drugs and alcohol.”

It was further reported that the head of reception went on to say that “when he is conscious he is destroying everything in the room,” adding: “We need you to send someone, please.’”

They also allegedly told the phone operator that they needed help sent “urgently” as “I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.’

The phone operator then apparently confirmed they would send the local medical emergency service (SAME).

Local police initially told Reuters yesterday that they were called to the hotel in Palermo after being notified of an “aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol,” though the man was not identified as Payne.

In a further statement to Rolling Stone, SAME stated that Payne fell from a height of “about 13 or 14 meters,” and that he “suffered severe injuries incompatible with life.”

Tributes have flooded in for the singer, with Harry Styles’ mother writing on Instagram: “Just a boy…”. Meanwhile, Zayn Malik’s sister Waliyha shared an old picture of herself with Liam, writing: “I can’t believe it, I honestly have no words for this sad moment… I really can’t believe it.”

Payne has previously opened up about his stint in rehab following controversial comments he made about his former bandmates that went viral.

The singer claimed that a former One Direction member had thrown him “up a wall” on YouTuber Logan Paul’s podcast in June 2023.

He later apologised for his comments, claiming his actions were “a scramble to stay relevant”. Payne then revealed he took some time “away” to visit a facility in Louisiana to “get my head straight”.
