Liam Gallagher makes joke about Coldplay “kiss cam” incident: “Don’t worry… we don’t have that Coldplay camera here”

Liam Gallagher has joked about the viral “kiss cam” incident at a Coldplay concert, telling fans not to “worry” as there’s no cameras zooming into the crowd at their gigs.

The “kiss cam” incident, where footage on the big screen of Coldplay’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’ show at the Gillette Stadium near Boston showed Astronomer boss Andy Byron with his arms around a woman, and resulted in the tech CEO resigning.

When they saw themselves on the big screen, they appeared mortified and Byron immediately lunged out of the shot, while the woman held her head in her hands. Many reports speculated that the woman in question was Kristin Cabot, the HR chief of Astronomer.

Frontman Chris Martin said as the couple were shown on the screens: “Oh, look at these two. Come on, you’re OK. Oh what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Now, Oasis‘ Liam Gallagher has made a joke about the moment during their show in Manchester over the weekend.

He said:“Do we have any lovebirds in the house? Don’t worry, we don’t got any of that Coldplay snidey fucking camera shit. Doesn’t matter to us who you’re fucking mingling with, or tingling with, or fingering with. It’s none of our fucking business.”

He then proceeded to dedicate the band’s performance of ‘Slide Away’ to the “lovebirds”.

The viral “kiss cam” moment at the Coldplay gig has been doing the rounds on social media, and has made headlines internationally.

More footage of the incident later emerged, with Martin adding: “Oh shit, I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

On July 19, Byron tendered his resignation from Astronomer. He had served as CEO of the company since 2023, while Cabot allegedly joined as Chief People Officer nine months ago.

That same evening, Martin while not directly referring to the incident, did joke at the Camp Randall Stadium in Madison: “We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd and put some of you on the big screen. How we’re going to do that is we’re going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen.

He added: “Please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now!”

In other Oasis-related news, many fans reacted angrily last week after Manchester City Council said that the site had been fenced off ahead of the latest shows to “dissuade people from gathering there,” protecting livestock and recently planted trees.

Also, Matty Healy was spotted singing along to the Gallagher brothers at their homecoming Heaton Park gig.
