LeBron James Shares Dream He Had Involving Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Concert at Duke University Basketball Game

LeBron James is always good to get in his storytelling bag throughout his Hall of Fame career, and he felt compelled to share a wild dream he woke up from on Sunday morning (Nov. 10).

King James never went to college — he made the jump to the NBA in 2003 from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio — but in this fantasy situation, he was suiting up for the legendary Mike Krzyzewski at Duke University.

“Just woke up from having a dream I was playing for Duke for Coach K inside Cameron Indoor Stadium! It was INSANE in there,” he began. “Told Coach K it was an honor to suit up for him and he said the same thing back to me. He’s such a LEGEND!”

LeBron never went to Duke, but did play for Coach K on Team USA Basketball from 2006 through the 2016 Olympics.

He continued to say that the game turned into a concert featuring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre hyping up the crowd. “It turned right into a concert,” James added. “Snoop & Dre were the performers and they was doing the song ‘The Next Episode.’ The roof inside Cameron damn near came off! Haha. Then my [alarm clock] went off and I woke up.”

With college basketball season in full swing and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s Missionary album slated to arrive in December, maybe James’ dream isn’t too far fetched from being a real possibility — sans him on the court and Coach K roaming on the sidelines. Krzyzewski retired from coaching Duke after serving as the head coach of the team from 1980 through the 2022 season. He won five national titles at the helm.

The deep sleep paid off for LeBron, as his Los Angeles Lakers throttled the Toronto Raptors 123-103 on Sunday night. James finished the game with another triple-double.

As for Snoop and Dre, they’ll be capping off 2024 with their first joint project since 1993’s Doggystyle. Missionary will be released on Dec. 13 and features special guests such as Sting, Jelly Roll and more.
