Lady Gaga Sets Appearance in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and more cast members are filming the sequel in Milan, where the musician was recently spotted

Lady Gaga is a little too chic to keep any lumpy cerulean sweaters in her closet, but she’ll have her pick of designer garments when she appears in The Devil Wears Prada 2. According to Variety, Mother Monster will appear in the forthcoming sequel to the fashion film, which is currently shooting in Milan.

Details regarding the appearance are scarce, with no confirmation on whether Gaga will make a cameo as herself or sink deeper into the role of a character. Representatives for the musician did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Gaga was spotted on set in Milan this week, just a day after Donatella Versace was seen, as well. The Devil Wears Prada 2 stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in their original roles of Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs. Stanley Tucci also returns as Nigel Kipling, with Emily Blunt reprising her role as Emily Charlton.

The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026. It will center around a magazine industry facing significant challenges, with Runway diminished compared to its former glory.

Gaga is currently between show dates on her Mayhem Ball Tour, which left off in Manchester on Oct. 8 and resumes in Stockholm on Oct. 12. In the coming weeks, she will perform in Assago, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and more. The tour is scheduled to extend through April 2026.

The reported Devil Wears Prada appearance follows Gaga’s recent cameo in season two of Netflix’s Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega. Her last lead role in a film came in 2024 with Joker: Folie à Deux. She previously led House of Gucci in 2021 and A Star Is Born in 2018. Gaga was also awarded a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel and earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in A Star Is Born.
