The 2025 ceremony takes place tomorrow night (February 2), with Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, RAYE, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin previously announced as performers.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. confirmed in January that the ceremony would proceed as planned despite the destruction that has struck Los Angeles earlier in the year, but would double as a fundraising event.

The Recording Academy and MusiCares have launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, and donated US$1million to “provide both immediate relief and long-term support to individuals and families in the music industry facing displacement and loss due to the disaster.”

Now, it’s been revealed that Gaga and Mars, who are nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their track ‘Die With a Smile’, will be taking to the stage to perform “a special tribute to the city of Los Angeles and those affected by the wildfires”.

It follows Gaga closing FireAid LA, a benefit concert that took place on Thursday (January 30) to raise funds for the victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, with a song written by her fiancé Michael Polansky. “When I was thinking about what to sing tonight I wanted to do something hopeful for you,” she told the crowd. “It’s just for tonight, it’s just for you.”

In other news, Gaga’s new album ‘Mayhem’ is due for release on March 7, following on from 2020’s ‘Chromatica’ and her ‘Harlequin’ companion record (2024).

She is set to debut the LP’s third single and accompanying music video during a commercial break at the Grammy ceremony this weekend. The singer has already released the singles ‘Disease’ and ‘Die With A Smile’, and described ‘Mayhem’ as “utter chaos” in a recent interview.

Meanwhile, Mars recently confirmed more dates for his ongoing Las Vegas residency. The singer will play seven additional shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM this May and June, continuing his long-running stint in Sin City, which began in 2016.

Elsewhere, he released his new track ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’ featuring Sexyy Red, alongside a music video which featured Gaga and BLACKPINK‘s Rosé.
