Kylie Minogue promises “all killer no filler” on 2025 ‘Tension’ UK tour

Kylie Minogue has hinted at what fans can expect from her 2025 ‘Tension’ UK tour, promising that it’ll be “all killer no filler”.

The ‘Padam Padam’ singer is due to hit the road on these shores in May, as part of her biggest global tour since 2011. It will include four shows at The O2 in London.

During a new interview with The Sun newspaper’s ‘Bizarre’ column (via Music News), Minogue reflected on playing “a number of festivals and one-off shows this past year”, adding: “I feel you are lucky when you boil down a stock and get the goodness.”

Looking ahead to 2025, the pop star explained that she believed her headline dates next year would be “all killer no filler”.

“There are 37 years of songs to play with and heaps of new stuff,” she continued.

However, Minogue has not yet finalised the setlist for her upcoming tour as she wants to wait for the rehearsal process to begin.

“I am in a state right now but I know the setlist won’t be there until we get well into rehearsals and see how it moves me musically,” she continued. “It’s gonna be a good time.”

Minogue announced her 2025 ‘Tension’ tour in September. Sharing a statement at the time, she said: “I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025.

“I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the ‘Tension’ era and more!

She added: “It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action … and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”

Minogue later added more dates to the run – you can find any remaining tickets here.

The star released her sequel album ‘Tension II’ in October. Speaking to NME beforehand, Minogue described the project as “kind of a hybrid” between a deluxe edition and a new record – one that “was never intended to be another volume of work”.

While the ‘Tension’ tour will be “a celebration” of the two albums it’s named after, the singer also hinted that there “might be a bit” of 2020’s ‘Disco’ as well, because she “didn’t get to tour” that LP.

Additionally, Minogue teased that she might incorporate some of her “’90s experimental side” into the tour.
