Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at “war” after he drops song seemingly featuring Diddy and their daughter North

Kanye West is reportedly at “war” with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian after he dropped a song that apparently features Sean “Diddy” Combs and their daughter North.

Kanye West – now legally known as Ye – dropped the new song, ‘Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine’ on X/Twitter yesterday (March 15). In the post, he claimed it featured disgraced rap mogul Diddy, his son Christian “King” Combs, Yeezy artist Jasmine Williams and West’s own 11-year-old daughter, North.

Just a day earlier, Combs spoke to a court for the first time since his arraignment on sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution charges, and pleaded not guilty.

It opens with a voice that appears to be Diddy’s – who Ye billed as Puff Daddy – saying: “I just want to thank you so much just taking care of my kids, man,” he says. “Ain’t nobody reached out, ain’t nobody called.”

West then responds, “I love you so much, man. It’s like, you raised me. Even when I didn’t know you, know what I’m saying?” North is later heard rapping: “When you see me shining, then you see the light.

The legitimacy of Combs’ involvement in the song is dubious, partly because of West’s increasingly controversial tendencies on social media. Fans have already expressed outrage that he featured his daughter on a song with the Bad Boy Records exec, who has been held in a federal jail awaiting a trial which is set to begin on May 5.

NME has reached out to Combs’ legal team for comment.

It also comes under question as Ye’s own voice was used in an AI verse only. The ‘Carnival’ artist recently distanced himself from what he called “AI beef” between Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker, following Bhabie sharing a clip of West seemingly rapping over a verse of a diss track, which he later denied doing.

Prior to sharing the song, West posted since-deleted screenshots of text messages he claimed were between him and Kardashian, which were later shared by TMZ.

According to the screenshots, the fashion mogul and reality TV personality said she sent paperwork to West “so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her,” adding: “One person has to trademark!”

The ensuing dispute over North West’s trademark, which, per the screenshots, was set up previously with West’s agreement, resulted in West telling Kardashian: “Amend it or I’m going to war and neither of us will recover from the public fallout.” He concluded: “You’re going to have to kill me.”

NME has reached out to representatives for West for comment.

Yesterday (March 15), he took to X again, posting: “JUST SEEING MY KIDS IS LIKE VISITATION ITS LIKE IM IN PRISON “SEEING” MY KIDS I DONT CARE IF I LIVE OR DIE OR IF IM IN JAIL OR FREE AND I ESPECIALLY DONT CARE ABOUT WHATEVER THESE PUSSY ASS CELEBRITIES GOT TO SAY THAT ARE SLAVES TO THE JEWS.”

It follows a string of highly controversial posts which saw him rescind his apology to the Jewish community for his past anti-Semitic remarks, and go on to declare himself “a Nazi”.

He also wrote: “I love Hitler”, as well as praise billionaire and X owner Elon Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter”, following the latter’s accusations of Nazism at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

Musk later took to X to respond, writing (via Sky News): “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”

Meanwhile, the controversial rapper seemed to backtrack on his earlier comments, taking to X to share that “after further reflection”, he’s “come to the realisation that I’m not a Nazi”. However, it was followed only a few days later by yet more swastika apparel appearing on his X page.

Since then, he has teased the return of his Sunday Service choir events and posted a picture of a KKK robe on social media.
