Kid Rock on Donald Trump’s election victory: “Now is not the time to gloat”

Kid Rock has shared a message following Donald Trump’s election victory, saying that this is “not the time to gloat”.

The Republican nominee won the required number of electoral college votes in the November 5 election to secure the presidency for the second time, also defeating Democrat candidate Kamala Harris in the popular vote.

Kid Rock is a long-time supporter of Trump’s political career, dating back to his initial election victory in 2016. During the recent campaign, he continued to be a mouthpiece for Trump’s camp, appearing at several rallies to champion the candidate.

Now, he has posted an official election reaction on his Instagram, in a video that opens with the singer in full rock persona and a MAGA hat, as he grabs his crotch and shows a middle finger to the camera.

However, the video then cuts to Rock in a plain white t-shirt and captioned as his real name Bob Ritchie. Over images of American iconography, Ritchie begins by saying, ““First off, let me convey to my family, friends, and supporters that now is not the time to gloat.”

“We must remember that most of our left-leaning friends are good people, who want the same things in life as we do, but simply think differently on how to get there. It is now time to be the bigger man, to extend an olive branch and unite all reasonable people of this great nation.”

As the video depicts the attempted assassination on Trump, Ritchie concludes: “God has blessed America, and together with President Trump, we will make America great again.”

Before the election, Kid Rock reacted to Eminem’s endorsement of Harris, saying: “I love Eminem. We’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that in which they believe. Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great.”

He then doubled down on his support for Trump, adding: “My stance is unequivocally MAGA, because I know in my heart, mind, body and soul that President Trump will make America great again. God bless the USA.”

Earlier this year, Kid Rock performed his song ‘American Bad Ass’ at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where he modified the track’s lyrics to showcase his support for Trump from “Say ‘Hey! Hey’” to “Say ‘Fight! Fight!’ Say ‘Trump! Trump!’” in another reference to assassination attempt.
