Sibling trio Jonas Brothers had plenty of surprises for fans attending their concert in Dallas on Sunday night, as their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour stopped at the Dos Equis Pavilion.
Among the unexpected moments was when Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas welcomed country singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini to the stage.
“We have lived a lot of life already with this next performer. She’s really part of the family. A couple of years ago we had the wonderful pleasure of bringing her on tour, and throughout the years, we’ve had the fortune of doing several performances,” Nick Jonas said, setting up the crowd for Ballerini’s entrance to the stage. “But tonight, she was gracious enough to come out and be here for this incredible Dallas crowd. Please welcome to the stage our friend, your friend, Kelsea Ballerini.”
The brothers joined Ballerini to sing a version of her 2015 ballad “Peter Pan,” before she joined them for the Jonas Brothers’ 2009 song “Fly With Me.”
On social media, Ballerini was filled with gratitude, sharing a photo from the performance and writing on her Instagram Stories, “So lovely to be back with the boys in Dallas. Thanks for having me @jonasbrothers!!!”
Ballerini previously opened shows for The Jonas Brothers on their Remember This Tour in 2021.
The JoBros also treated the fans to other surprise appearances, welcoming Ryan Cabrera for “On The Way Down,” and bringing out Plain White T’s for a rendition of the group’s 2005 hit “Hey There Delilah.” Jonas Brothers also welcomed Fifth Harmony to reunite and perform their hits “Worth It” and “Work From Home.”
Earlier this year, Ballerini spearheaded her own massive headlining tour and picked up an Academy of Country Music Awards nomination for entertainer of the year, as well as nominations for female artist of the year and music event of the year (for her Noah Kahan collab “Cowboys Cry Too”).
