Kelly Osbourne and Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Get Engaged at Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Show

Wilson proposed to Osbourne backstage during Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning finale on Saturday in Birmingham, England

Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning farewell performances were not the only exciting event to happen at Villa Park in Birmingham, England last night: Osbourne’s daughter Kelly Osbourne and Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson also got engaged backstage at the concert.

“Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” Wilson said in a video filmed backstage, which Kelly posted to her Instagram page. Ozzy then jokingly interjected, “Fuck off, you’re not marrying my daughter.”

Wilson took the teasing from his future father-in-law in stride with a laugh, and then proceeded with his proposal. “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said as Kelly’s parents, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, looked on and a crew of family and friends surrounded the couple. Then Wilson got down on one knee and said, “In front of your family and all of our friends: Kelly, will you marry me?”

Kelly looked around in shock, nodded yes in response, and gave Wilson a big hug as their friends and family cheered and applauded the newly engaged couple.

Osbourne and Wilson, who began dating in early 2022, welcomed their son Sidney later that year. While the pair confirmed their relationship publicly in February 2022, they actually met more than two decades prior. “After 23 years of friendship I can’t believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson,” Osbourne wrote at the time.
