Kelly Clarkson Recalls Fiery Response to Manager Who Told Her to Get a Boob Job: ‘Why Don’t You Get a Di– Job?’

Kelly Clarkson is ready for the industry to break away from toxic beauty standards — or, at the very least, for people to stop thinking it’s acceptable to tell women what to do with their bodies.

While onstage for one of her Studio Session shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas over the weekend, the hitmaker took a moment to make sure her deep V-neck top was covering up everything it needed to, which reminded her of an unpleasant interaction with someone in the music business. “I had some di– manager one time tell me to get a boob job,” she recalled, the shock of the experience returning to her face as if it had just happened in that moment.

“I was like, ‘Why don’t you get a di– job?’” Clarkson continued. “I’m fine with my itty bitty ti–ies, get out of here.”

The vocalist went on to lament how comfortable people in the industry have become when it comes to commenting on the appearances of others. “You’ve normalized crazy,” she said as her audience laughed in agreement. “Everybody out here looking like they’re in The Capitol in Hunger Games … Calm down. Just get old. Be glad — not everybody gets to get old.”

Clarkson has always been real about topics such as body image. Last year, she opened up about taking a drug to help her lose weight after being diagnosed pre-diabetic, noting at the time that she “didn’t see” any issues with her weight until she watched back a tape of one of her performances.

“All of a sudden I paused it, and I was like, ‘Who the f— is that?!’” she recalled in April 2024 on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The American Idol alum now has just two 2025 shows left in her Studio Sessions residency at the Palace, scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15. After having to cancel residency dates earlier this year following the death of Brandon Blackstock, her ex-husband and the father of her children, she announced new 2026 shows set for July and August.

In September, she kicked off the seventh season of her daytime talk program.
