Katy Perry Unveils First Tour in Seven Years With Career-Spanning ‘Lifetimes’ Run

This icon has pop hits for days, even for lifetimes. Katy Perry announced Monday that she’ll bring her Lifetimes Tour to the United States this spring and summer, marking her first time hitting the road in more than seven years.

“We’re giving BPM. We’re giving celebration. We’re giving unity. We’re giving dance,” Perry tells Rolling Stone. “It will be like Disneyland on Wheels, as it always is. A feast for the eyes and the ears.”

Perry teased that she’ll play her “whole life” of hits thus far, while sprinkling in songs from last year’s 143 and 2020’s Smile, which didn’t get a tour after she welcomed her daughter Daisy that year.

“I always remember the audience is a hybrid of different types of people: It’s number one fans, and then it’s voyeurs. It’s people that only know me for one song, and then people that know ‘Simple,’” Perry says, referring to her 2005 deep cut featured on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. “It’s such a smorgasbord. I have a responsibility to the audience to give them that singalong, to create that moment, and to bring out some nostalgia.”

Perry promises to include a segment of the tour to allow her fans to select seldom-played tracks for her to perform. “I also have a responsibility to myself to stay true to my art,” Perry adds. “And so, I’ll be introducing some new songs. And there will be a section that we have created for some songs that are the deepest cuts that have never seen the light of day.”

Tickets for the U.S. dates will go on sale Friday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. local time, although fans can start accessing presale tickets on Jan. 28 and 29.

Perry will kick off the Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City in late April, before embarking on a cluster of U.S. stops in May. She’ll then head to Australia in June, before returning to North America for shows in Canada and across the United States through late August. She’ll conclude the Lifetimes run by visiting South America and Europe.

Perry last hit the road in 2017 to celebrate her fourth studio album, Witness. She also hosted an 80-date residency at Las Vegas’ Resorts World, called Play, between 2021 and 2023. The singer most recently joined the Jingle Ball run for two shows in the U.S., performed at France’s Le Gala Des Pièces Jaunes last week, and performed for 100,000 people at Rock in Rio in September.
