The Little Monster-KatyCat stan wars can stop: these pop divas are friends! On Sunday night, Katy Perry was spotted in the crowd at Lady Gaga‘s concert in Mexico City, a day after Perry’s performance there.
Little Monsters spotted Perry at Estadio GNP Seguros as she approached the stadium’s tech booth before the show. Perry could be seen holding a Modelo beer while accompanied by her friend Lauren Glucksman and longtime co-songwriter Sarah Hudson. Throughout the show, she was seen recording and dancing along to Gaga’s Viva La Mayhem spectacle.

“Show was MAGINIFCA! The dress! The sand! Every moment was theee moment,” Perry wrote on her Instagram Story following the show, alongside a photo of Gaga’s opening look. “So proud of you and grateful to grow up together @ladygaga Love u.”
On her Instagram, Perry shared clips of Gaga’s “Abracadabra” performance, along with a clip of herself dancing to the song with Glucksman and Hudson. (Hudson and Perry co-wrote “Dark Horse,” “Swish Swish,” and several songs from her albums 143 and Witness.)
Perry also posted a photo of Gaga reading a letter in Spanish from behind a Mexican flag. Most poignantly, given the online vitriol toward her space travel, Perry filmed a clip of Gaga performing “Perfect Celebrity” buried with a skeleton. (“You love to hate me,” sings Gaga in the song’s chorus. “I’m the perfect celebrity.”)

It was a pop queen weekend in Mexico City as both Gaga and Perry performed separate shows in Mexico’s capital on Saturday night. Perry’s Saturday concert was the third of three sold-out shows of the opening stop of her Lifetimes Tour. Meanwhile, Gaga brought the two-night Viva La Mayhem show to the Estadio GNP Seguros. Gaga’s set in Mexico City mirrored that of her Coachella set, aside from the addition of “Blade of Grass,” which she performed on piano before “Shallow.”
Gaga is next scheduled to play a free show at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 3, along with three nights in Singapore in late May before the launch of her U.S. Mayhem Ball tour in July. As for Perry, she’s scheduled for two nights in Monterrey, Mexico, on Monday and Tuesday night. She’ll bring the Lifetimes Tour to the United States in early May.
