The newly launched track and its accompanying music video pay tribute to Latino culture, including the group’s first-ever Spanish-language verse sung by Latina American member Daniela.

The music video kicks off with Jessica Alba – CEO of the fictional Gabriela Enterprises – telling the group that she’s looking for one of them to replace her as the head of the company.

The members of KATSEYE begin fighting across multiple scenarios – each depicting themes of popular telenovelas including upstaging a wedding, brawling dramatically around a house and more. At the end of the video, we see the girls realising they all hold the “power” of Gabriella and “possess” unsuspecting viewers of a fictional talk show, turning them into cats.

The group said of the video via a press statement: “Our music video for ‘Gabriela’ is vibrant, colourful, dramatic, and full of heart. We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best possible way – from the acting to hair and wardrobe. We tried to honour that spirit while having fun with the concept. It’s all love, all homage, and definitely all drama!”

The video comes a week ahead of their new mini-album ‘Beautiful Chaos’. ‘Beautiful Chaos’ is due for release on June 27 via HYBE x Geffen Records and can be pre-saved on digital streaming platforms or pre-ordered here.

KATSEYE made their debut last August with ‘SIS (Soft Is Strong)’, which featured the singles ‘Debut’ and ‘Touch’. In a four-star review of the record, NME’s Mika Chen called the EP a “surprisingly cohesive release that largely captures the group’s enormous potential” but criticised the short length of its tracks.

KATSEYE were also selected as one of the emerging essential artists to watch in 2025 for the NME 100. NME also named ‘Touch’ as one of the 50 best songs of 2024: “It’s one thing to make an earworm, and another to transform a pop song into something akin to muscle memory. That’s what K-pop does best [and] KATSEYE proved that they’re scholars of K-pop’s most important lessons.”

Comprising members Sophia, Manon, Daniella, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae, KATSEYE formed in November 2023 through HYBE x Geffen Records’ reality show Dream Academy. They were the final six among the 20 contestants who competed in the series.
