Kanye West’s X account has been deactivated after bizarre weekend rant

Kanye West‘s X (formerly Twitter) account appears to have been deactivated following his bizarre posting spree late last week.

Last week saw the long-controversial rapper court an unprecedented amount of debate on social media. West – now legally known as Ye – kicked off the week by attending the Grammys red carpet with his wife Bianca Censori, who wore a see-through dress revealing her fully nude figure.

After that, he revealed in an interview that he has autism and believes he had been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016. He also shared that he had stopped taking his bipolar disorder medication.

He then kicked off his return to X after having previously been banned back when it was still Twitter by voicing his support for Diddy and Chris Brown, and urged for the former to be released from prison amid sexual abuse allegations.

His X posts grew increasingly more concerning as he began to claim “dominion” over his wife Censori: “I have dominion over my wife. This ain’t no woke as feminist shit. She’s with a billionaire, why would she listen to any of you dumb ass broke bitches? People say the red carpet look was her decision… Yes, I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to, but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval, you stupid ass woke pawns.”

Kanye also went on a rant withdrawing his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as “a Nazi” and a slew of other demeaning posts that targetted several communities.

Today (February 10), it appears that his account has been deactivated, though it is currently unclear if this was done by Ye himself, or if his account had been taken down by X.

He also shared a weird advertisement for his Yeezy site during the Super Bowl, in which he was filmed getting his teeth done: “I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth, so once again I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um… go to Yeezy.com.”

Ye over the weekend had also said “I love Hitler”, praised billionaire and X-owner Elon Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter” and claimed that all other people look up to him. Musk himself had drawn criticism and allegations of Nazism earlier this year when he made two Nazi-like gestures during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

Following Kanye’s weekend rant, Friends star David Schwimmer called on action to be taken against rapper for his hate-filled “Nazi” posts, arguing that “silence is complicity”.
