Kany García Announces Ambitious 70-Plus Date Arena Tour: ‘I Never Dreamed It as a Singer-Songwriter’

After revealing the initial dates for her 2026 tour earlier this year, Kany García has doubled the number of shows to more than 70 to officially announce her Puerta Abierta Tour 2026, Billboard Español can exclusively report on Monday (April 13).

The trek — her first arena tour and the most extensive of her career — kicks off on April 17 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City and wraps up on Dec. 4 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, with the possibility of adding more dates. It also includes García’s first stadium show on May 30 in the Dominican Republic, which is already sold out.

“I’m feeling so incredibly emotional and enjoying this as I should: savoring the moment, being here, being present for every single detail,” García tells Billboard Español. “I’ve tried not to live in a rush lately, but it’s been almost impossible. I took eight months off to prepare myself for what’s ahead.”

“I’m bringing a production that is, without a doubt, the most ambitious of my career — a number of stadiums and arenas I never dreamed of as a singer-songwriter,” continues the seven-time Latin Grammy winner. “And I don’t mean to diminish singer-songwriters; it’s just that people know how challenging it is for a singer-songwriter to achieve something like this. So I’m trying to take it day by day.”

In Mexico, García will perform the most dates of the tour — with 19 shows in cities including Monterrey, Guadalajara and Tijuana. She’s also scheduled for 16 dates in the U.S. and Canada during the fall, as well as 10 concerts in Colombia. Additionally, she’ll perform 10 shows across Europe in countries such as Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain and the U.K. Other stops include Peru, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.

“Every time I think about what lies ahead, I feel such a heavy emotion,” García admits. “I know it’s going to be a whirlwind of chaotic yet exciting moments, and I’m ready for it.”

The new tour is in support of her tenth studio album, Puerta Abierta, which was released on April 9 under 502 Records. Filled with reflections on identity, resilience, tenderness and self-discovery, the 11-track set includes singles like “Tierra Mía” and “La Mala Era Yo” featuring Yuridia, as well as collaborations with Dominican legend Juan Luis Guerra on “Amor Bonito,” Venezuelan band Rawayana on “La Culpa” and Argentine artist Nathy Peluso on “Gatita.”
