Kacey Musgraves launches line of ‘Drought Drops’ lube: “Keeps the dry spells away”

Kacey Musgraves, in partnership with women’s wellness brand Medicine Mama, just launched her own signature lube titled, fittingly, Drought Drops.

Medicine Mama described the product as a “water-based personal lubricant and vaginal moisturiser made to supplement your body’s natural lubrication, boost moisture, and make a dry spell a whole lot more fun.”

In a statement on the brand’s website, country star Musgraves said the lube “keeps the dry spells away and the good times coming” – and it appears to be in high demand, because the limited edition drop is currently sold out.

According to a message on the product’s website, another shipment is due at the beginning of September, and you can pre-order it here. Made with organic aloe, Drought Drops also come with a Musgraves-themed limited-edition sticker sheet.

The product is inspired by her hit track ‘Dry Spell’, with Musgraves saying it was “a cheeky little wink to my song, combined with a great product from Medicine Mama”.

‘Dry Spell’ was released in May as the lead single from her latest album, giving way to innuendo-filled music videos and performances.

At the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards, fans at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena were treated to a performance that nodded to the track’s playful lyrics: “I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital “H” / If you know what I mean, I’ve been sitting on the washing machine.”

Musgraves is currently out on tour in support of her seventh studio album ‘Middle Of Nowhere’, which was released in May via Lost Highway Records and followed 2024’s ‘Deeper Well’.

Featuring collaborations with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov, the record was given a three-and-a-half-star review from NME, and praised as one of the country star’s “most thematically cohesive records”.

“It isn’t flawless: a few tracks blur together in the middle stretch, and some lyrical moments fall flat. But the integrity and conviction behind the creative statement more than compensate,” it added.

“At a time of maximalism and hyperactivity in music, this grounded, assured commitment to songs that sway rather than stomp feels quietly radical. Though it’s called ‘The Middle of Nowhere’, you get the sense that Musgraves is right where she wants to be.”

The album was also included in NME’s rundown of the best albums of 2026 so far.

Before its release, Musgraves debuted several songs from the record during a surprise appearance at Coachella 2026, marking her first performance at the festival since 2019.

She later went undercover in a giant armadillo costume to search for copies of the album in stores.
