Jonas Brothers Reunite With Demi Lovato for ‘Camp Rock’ Classics at Stadium Tour Opener

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam will celebrate its 15th anniversary in September, but as it turns out, the Disney Channel Original Movie didn’t mark the last time its stars would rock out together. On Sunday, Jonas Brothers kicked off their Greetings From Your Hometown tour with a headlining performance at MetLife Stadium. Toward the end of the show, the venue erupted. “Ladies and gentlemen,” Joe Jonas began, “Demi Lovato.”

The introduction came just after Joe performed “Gotta Find You” from Camp Rock. When Lovato emerged to the shrieks and squeals of the audience, she launched into “This Is Me,” the duet they performed as Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray during the climax of the movie. The former flames kept the fire burning with the Final Jam ballad “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”

After the show, Joe and Lovato shared a series of TikTok videos, including one set to “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” and another to an interview clip where fellow alum Debby Ryan recalls sitting down with the president of Disney Channel and announcing, “I want to make history.” The reunion certainly felt historic for OG fans who grew up with both acts. When fans posted in shock that Lovato and Nick Jonas were in the same room again, the generational divide made itself clear as others asked in confusion, “Nick? I thought she dated Joe?” You just had to be there.

Jonas Brothers might have saved their best surprise for last with Lovato, but the night wasn’t without its fair share of special guests. Earlier in the set, Jesse McCartney took the stage to perform “Beautiful Soul,” and Switchfoot joined for “Meant to Live” and “Hold On.” Dean Lewis also made an appearance to perform their recently released collaboration “Loved You Better.”

The Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour will continue this week in Washington, D.C., Camden, New Jersey, and Virginia Beach. Meanwhile, Lovato recently previewed her forthcoming ninth studio album with the single “Fast.”

“Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun,” a source close to the project recently told Rolling Stone, referring to Lovato’s recent marriage to musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes. “She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track on this celebratory dance-pop album.”
