Jonas Brothers Perform ‘Sucker,’ Camp Rock’s ‘Play My Music’ for ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’

Jonas Brothers are ringing in 2025 and celebrating 20 years since their formation. Just after midnight, Nick, Joe, and Kevin took the stage for a medley of the group’s hits on Dick Clark’s New Year‘s Rockin’ Eve.

During their highly-anticipated performance, the group sang 2019’s “Sucker,” “Play My Music” (the band’s second single from the soundtrack album for 2008’s Disney Channel film Camp Rock), and a cover of “Dreams” by the Cranberries. Prior to their performance, they also teased some big announcements coming in the new year when being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest. “We’ve got a ton of announcements coming. The first thing up is we’ve got a new song with Marshmello on January 17,” revealed Nick. “I’ll be making a return to Broadway here next year in a show called The Last Five Years, which I absolutely can’t wait to do.”

Kevin also shared that they’ll be going on tour in 2025, while Joe hinted that their NYE performance will include “a lot of songs that you’ll hear on the next tour. Kind of a sneak peek of what’s coming.”

At the end of their 2023 tour at Yankee Stadium, the group let fans know they’d celebrate the “20-year anniversary of the band” with a run of special shows. “That card was your formal invite to do this thing again,” Nick said at the time.

The JoBros formed their band in 2005 and “Please Be Mine” marked their first recorded song. Their first single came in December of that year with “Mandy,” before they released their debut LP, It’s About Time in 2006. They later hosted their Living the Dream show and appeared in the Camp Rock films.

Outside of capping of 2024 with their Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance (Penske Media Corporation owns Dick Clark Productions, which is also the parent company of Rolling Stone), the year was a relatively calm one for the JoBros as a group, who brought their Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour run to Asia, South America, and Europe through October. After 2023’s The Album, the group released “Healing (Shattered Heart)” with Kygo in June, and joined Jimmy Fallon on a Christmas song. As soloists, Nick Jonas joined JVKE on “This Is What Forever Feels Like” and Joe Jonas joined Alex Warren on “Burning Down” and Ela Taubert on “¿Cómo Pasó?”

Joe also has his debut solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, pending, and Nick is set to star in The Last Five Years on Broadway.
