John Legend Signs With UTA Ahead of ‘Get Lifted’ Anniversary Tour

United Talent Agency has signed John Legend and his production company, Get Lifted, for worldwide representation across all areas. He was previously represented by Wasserman Music and WME.

The deal comes as the EGOT winner kicks off the North American leg of his Get Lifted 20th Anniversary Tour, celebrating the Grammy-winning debut album Get Lifted that launched his career. Over the past two decades, Legend has collected 13 Grammys, an Oscar, a Tony and four Emmys — becoming one of only 19 artists to achieve EGOT status.

“John Legend’s impact on entertainment and culture is unparalleled,” said UTA partner and co-head of talent Jay Gassner. “UTA is proud to support his artistic and entrepreneurial vision across music, film, television, books, brands and beyond.”

UTA partners and co-heads of global music David Zedeck and Sam Kirby Yoh added: “John is a global musical icon and one of the most acclaimed, decorated artists of our time. The impact of his celebrated live performances powers his globally recognized brand the world over. We are thrilled to be joining his team.”

Since his 2004 breakthrough, Legend has built a catalog that spans Once Again, Evolver, Love in the Future, Darkness and Light, Bigger Love and Legend. His most recent release, My Favorite Dream (2024), continues his track record of combining soulful composition with cultural urgency.

Through Get Lifted Film Co., Legend and partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius have expanded into producing award-winning projects including HBO’s 1000% Me: Growing Up Mixed, Paramount+’s Loudmouth and Netflix’s Rhythm & Flow. Upcoming titles include Peacock’s Before I Let Go and a modern-day reimagining of Phantom of the Opera.

Beyond entertainment, Legend has long used his platform for advocacy. In 2014, he launched FREEAMERICA to advance criminal justice reform, and he continues to serve on multiple nonprofit boards. He has also grown his business ventures with skincare line Loved01 and pet lifestyle brand Kismet.

Legend is managed by Stiklorius at Friends At Work and represented by attorney Aaron Rosenberg at Myman Greenspan and Nina Shaw at Del Shaw.
