Satriani’s latest album is 2022’s ‘The Elephants Of Mars’, while Vai released ‘Vai/Gash’ in 2023, a record first recorded in 1991 but never previously released.

Also last year, Vai revealed that he had enough material recorded with Ozzy Osbourne for a full album, although he does not own the rights to be able to release it.

He also appeared in Studio 666 in 2022a film starring members of Foo Fighters as fictional versions of themselves. “The movie is just off the charts gory and funny”, Vai said of his experience shooting the movie. “It was a glorious blast of demonic shred pleasure and when I saw it in the theatre”.
