Joe Jonas Will Finally Drop His Solo Album in May After Postponing It

“Thank you for your patience,” Jonas wrote in a post announcing the release date for Music for People Who Believe in Love

Fans of Joe Jonas‘ music will finally get to listen to Music for People Who Believe in Love almost a year after he announced the album! On Wednesday, the JoBro revealed that he’ll drop his solo LP, which he postponed last year, on May 23.

“Thank you for your patience Music For People Who Believe In Love. May 23rd!” he captioned his post.

The singer shared a video of him placing the vinyl version of the album on a record player, and showing it to the camera on Wednesday. He also shared a pre-save link and CD and vinyl presales for the upcoming LP. Jonas had previously scheduled the album to drop on Oct. 18.

In a statement announcing the record last year, Jonas called his new offering a “celebration of gratitude, hope, and love.” He said the songs “reflect on my life from a bird’s-eye view acknowledging the many blessings around me,” touching on his experiences of “being a father, being a friend to oneself and others, and the happiness I’ve found in doing what I love for a living.”

Music for People Who Believe in Love marks Jonas’ second solo album, following his 2011 effort Fastlife. After that album, Jonas founded the band DNCE, which released a self-titled debut in 2016. The Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019 and have since released two records, 2019’s Happiness Begins and last year’s The Album.

Jonas led Music for People with “Work It Out” last summer. Jonas previously told the Therapuss With Jake Shane podcast that he worked on the album with Alexander 23, Justin Trainor, Tommy English, MUNA’s Josette Maskin, Paris Carney, and more. “We made an album in two to three weeks,” he added. “Just two rooms all at once and I’m just really excited. It’s the most personal music I have ever put out.”
