Joe Jonas Releases Deluxe ‘Music For People Who Believe in Love’ Edition With New Song, Three Live Tracks

Talk about bonus Jonas. Just five days after dropping his long-awaited sophomore album, Music For People Who Believe in Love, Joe Jonas quickly followed up on Tuesday morning (May 27) with an expanded edition of the LP. The deluxe version features the new mid-tempo pop rocker “Water Under the Bridge,” on which Jonas sings, “I said some s–t, you said some s–t back/ And all it cost me was a heart attack,” before breaking into a rap-like verse on the song about accepting that a relationship is beyond repair.

The deluxe version also features live versions of the songs “Heart By Heart,” “What This Could Be” and “Honey Blonde” from Jonas’ recent Vevo live session. In a statement about the release, Jonas said, “This album has been a long time coming, and it holds a whole lot of my heart. It’s the most personal music l’ve ever made, full of the messy, beautiful, confusing, and hopeful parts of love and life. Making this record was a special journey that I feel so lucky to have had so many people that I deeply admire join me on.”

The original release — Jonas’ first solo effort since 2011’s Fastlife — was preceded by the singles “Work It Out,” “What This Could Be” and “Heart By Heart.” Jonas has supported the LP by playing a string of pop-up shows across the U.S. in Miami, Los Angeles, Nashville and Dallas, topped by a one-night-only gig on Sunday (May 25) at the Bowery Ballroom in New York where he was joined by guests including brothers Nick, Kevin and Franklin Jonas, as well as Sierra Ferrell, Eva Noblezada, Reeve Carney, Paris Carney and Zane Carney, as well as Jack Lawless.

Among the special treats for fans at the show, the Jonas Brothers played the unreleased song “When You Know” from the group’s upcoming Greetings From Your Hometown (Aug. 8) album.
