Joe Jonas Praises Sophie Turner, Says They Have a ‘Great Coparenting Relationship’ Following Divorce

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner may have ended their romantic relationship, but they’re still on the same team.

While guesting on the Monday (July 9) School of Greatness podcast episode with brothers Nick and Kevin, the DNCE frontman had only kind words to say about his famous ex-wife during a discussion about parenting young girls. The two stars — who finalized their divorce last September — share 4-year-old Willa and 2-year-old Delphine.

“I have two beautiful girls,” Joe told host Lewis Howes. “My little ones have some incredible women to look up to, including their mom.”

He added, “I have a great coparenting relationship, which is really important to me.”

Joe met the Game of Thrones actress in 2016, three years after which they tied the knot. The pair announced their split via a joint statement in 2023, writing, “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision.”

And while they now have a healthy coparenting relationship, the exes had to overcome certain struggles before they could reach a place of partnership. In 2023, Turner filed a lawsuit alleging that Joe was wrongfully withholding their children’s passports so that they could not join her in the U.K.; she later dropped it after working out an agreement with the Camp Rock alum in mediation meetings. And when Joe released his solo album Music for People Who Believe in Love in May, Turner took to Instagram to cheer him on.

Now balancing parenting duties with Turner, Joe says that he’s grown a lot through being a father to two girls. “What’s changed or developed in me the most? I know a lot of unicorn names that I never thought I would know,” he joked on the podcast.

“I love the sensitivity and the gentleness young girls have, but also the strength,” he added. “You’re building them up to be these incredible, confident superheroes.”
