Jimmy Fallon Recalls Selena Gomez’s Traumatizing Experience Eating Da Bomb Hot Sauce With Him: ‘We Didn’t Talk for Another 3 Years’

Jimmy Fallon is the latest guest to take on the Hot Ones challenge, eating increasingly spicy wings as host Sean Evans asks questions. However, it’s hardly Fallon’s first rodeo.

He often incorporates a Hot Ones segment with Evans on his Tonight Show, and recalled the moment that Selena Gomez took on the challenge — and it didn’t go so well after trying the infamous Da Bomb hot sauce. “I remember this. This is the one that killed Selena Gomez. You know we almost killed Selena Gomez?” the late night talk show host said after being reunited with Da Bomb on First We Feast’s YouTube channel on Thursday (Oct. 31).

“We almost killed an American treasure, Selena Gomez,” he recalled of the 2019 Tonight Show moment. “She left and ran out, and I went and knocked on her dressing room door. She was throwing up in her sink and I go ‘Selena,’ and she goes, ‘Get the f– out’ with a devil voice. I never seen her like that, spit was dripping out of her mouth and I go, ‘I’m so sorry.’ We didn’t talk to each other for another three years.”

Thankfully, Gomez and Fallon have mended their friendship, and the “Single Soon” singer was most recently on The Tonight Show in September alongside her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
