Adventures of Scott Kelly
A TikTok showed Scott Kelly’s resume being reviewed by what seemed to be a potential employer during the concert. It turns out he didn’t need a job and hadn’t heard of the JoBros before
In their incessant filming of live shows, fans have started to capture odd moments that occur during the concerts they attend — not on stage, but in the crowd. Sometimes it’s someone filming on an old Nintendo DSi, or a comically large iPad. Other times, it’s a potential employer reviewing resumes during a Jonas Brothers show. The latter instance went viral on TikTok this week.
“Good luck Scott Kelly,” read the caption on a video captured by a fan sitting in the row behind the man looking over the document titled “Scott Kelly Resume Sept 2025.” The clip made its way to Nick Jonas, who commented, “Scott Kelly’s work ethic and critical thinking inspired me to write the line ‘red dress.’” More comments poured in from pretty much every brand imaginable, from Buffalo Wild Wings and Old Navy to Hallmark and Fruit of the Loom. The contacts could have been helpful if he actually needed a job.
On the latest episode of The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon welcomed the real Scott Kelly to the show as a surprise for the Jonas Brothers. After the TikTok post went viral, Kelly began receiving messages from friend asking if it was really his resume. At first, based on a blurry image, he dismissed it. When he finally got a clear look, he realized it actually was his. So did he get the job? “I never actually applied for a job,” Kelly said on The Tonight Show.

The person reviewing his resume was an old acquaintance who was assigned to the same infantry battalion in the army back in 2014 and runs a company that prioritizes hiring veterans to aid in their transition back into civilian life. “The transition from being in the military to being civilian can be very challenging,” Kelly said. “There’s a lot of transferable skills. There’s not a lot of great bridges to help you make that transition.”
Pop culture is one element of life outside of the military that Kelly hasn’t quite caught up on yet. On the show, he told Nick, Kevin, and Joe, “I had never heard of you before this.” He didn’t spend much time watching Disney Channel, or listening to pop radio, so his introduction to the Jonas Brothers came by way of this viral moment and a crash course from his wife. “I’m a huge fan now,” he said.
