A trailer cut exclusively for the cinema owners was played out in Las Vegas as The Bear star, his co-star Jeremy Strong and Disney distribution chief Andrew Cripps appeared for a Q&A.

The film follows the heartland rocker during the making of his 1982 album ‘Nebraska’.

According to Variety, the trailer opened with White as Springsteen, test-driving a Chevy 305. “I know who you are,” the dealer tells him, leaning into the window. White’s Springsteen smiles and says: “That makes one of us.”

A montage of Springsteen in his younger days plays, and it goes on to show his father (played by Stephen Graham) determined to raise a fighter and a mother trying to teach him compassion and grace.

The footage ends with a live performance of Springsteen’s 1975 hit ‘Born To Run’, which White sings.

Speaking at the event, White said: “It was incredible, challenging, and a dream come true. I feel really lucky. We all had Bruce’s blessing. The film tells the story of a very pivotal moment, Bruce struggling to reconcile the pressures of success versus his past.”

Meanwhile, Graham recently revealed that he was left in tears after Springsteen got in touch to praise his performance in the upcoming biopic.

“I’m racing to get to the airport, and I got this text, and it was so beautiful. It just said: ‘Better than any award that I could ever receive in my life’. He’s an icon. He’s a hero,” he said.

“I was crying reading the text, do you know what I mean? Oh mate, it was beautiful. You couldn’t ask for anything more, you know, to share that with someone was gorgeous. He’s a lovely man.”

Deliver Me From Nowhere is set for release later this year.
