The singer and actress will return to host the American Music Awards for the second time on Monday, May 26
Jennifer Lopez has bounced back from a nose injury she sustained during rehearsals for the 2025 American Music Awards. The singer and actress, who is set to host the ceremony, shared a series of Instagram Story posts recounting the saga that resulted in an emergency visit to Dr. Jason B. Diamond, a plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills.
“Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond,” Lopez said. “A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.” In the accompanying images, she held an ice pack to the bridge of her nose, where a red wound appeared on her face. Lopez didn’t specify how the injury occurred, only that it happened during rehearsals for the awards show scheduled for Monday, May 26.
Lopez needs to be camera-ready as she returns to host the AMAs for the second time. The first time she hosted, back in 2015, she emerged in a different outfit each time she returned to the stage. She also performed a medley in the midst of her hosting duties.

This year’s show will air live from the Fountainbleau Las Vegas via CBS and stream on Paramount+. The full slate of performers has not yet been announced, but it was revealed on Monday, May 13, that Janet Jackson will return to the show for her first television performance in seven years. Jackson will receive the ICON Award, previously presented to Lionel Richie in 2022 and Rihanna in 2013.
