Jennie Sinks Her Teeth Into Tame Impala’s ‘Dracula’ Remix: Stream It Now

Now here we are: Tame Impala’s “Dracula” gets a fresh pair of fangs with a new remix featuring JENNIE.

The BLACKPINK star layers her vocals over several verses and the chorus, and jumps in for a volley of new lyrics.

On it, she raps: “Hey, Kevin, what’s up?/ Come pull up in my spot / Let’s keep the night glowing, I don’t ever wanna stop / I’ll never leave this floor, got me needin’ more / Sky is turning blue, let it clear the smoke / Lip-stain on the rim, bass is ’bout to blow / Sinking in my teeth, I buy time.”

The “Dracula” update makes more sense than might first appear. JENNIE and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker are, geographically at least, cousins. The K-pop star was born in South Korea, and raised in New Zealand, the neighbor and close buddy of Australia, Parker’s homeland. Cousins.

Parker is a fan, too. At the 2026 Grammy Awards last Sunday, Feb. 1 in Los Angeles, the Western Australian producer and artist was spotted wearing official JENNIE merch. It turned out to be a great night for Parker, as he nabbed a golden gramophone for “End Of Summer,” his second successive win in the best dance/electronic recording category.

Then, on Tuesday (Feb. 3), Parker announced that JENNIE would contribute vocals on an updated version of what is Tame Impala’s biggest hit to-date in the United States.

Dropping in full during the darkness of midnight (of course), “Dracula – JENNIE Remix” is the K-pop superstar’s first solo release since unveiling her debut album, Ruby, in March 2025. That project debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and spawned a number of Billboard Hot 100 entries, including “ExtraL” featuring Doechii and “Like JENNIE.”

“Dracula” is housed on Tame Impala’s fifth studio album, Deadbeat, its first through a new deal with Columbia, part of Sony Music. Deadbeat debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and Official U.K. Albums Charts last October, and No. 2 on the ARIA Chart.

Despite Parker’s multiple Grammys, ARIA and APRA Awards, a BRIT Award, and glowing praise from fellow artists, critics and fans everywhere, Tame Impala had to wait until 2025 for a Billboard Hot 100 hit. It was “Dracula” that did the business.

After nearly two decades as one of music’s most sought-out collaborators with numerous streaming hits, Tame Impala finally scored a Hot 100 hit in October with “Dracula,” peaking at No. 30. What followed that drought-buster was something like waiting for a bus in London — two more immediately arrived on the singles chart, “Loser” (No. 91) and “My Old Ways” (No. 56).

“Dracula” is hard to kill. Nearly a year after reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay for the first time, “Dracula” has risen once again, topping the Feb. 7-dated ranking.
