Jelly Roll Surpasses 100-Pound Weight-Loss Goal on Tour: ‘You Won’t Recognize Me’

The same week Jelly Roll scored his first-ever No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Beautifully Broken, the country star revealed he also hit another impressive milestone: losing 100 pounds.

In a video update shared with fans on Instagram Monday (Oct. 21), Jelly pulled back the curtain on his fitness regimen while touring. “Next year when y’all see me, you won’t recognize me,” he says in the clip, which then cuts to the “Son of a Sinner” singer’s personal chef.

“Jelly’s been crushing it,” nutrition coach Ian Larios tells the camera in between clips of Jelly working out and performing on stage. “Walking the arenas, playing basketball, boxing. He just surpassed his 100-pound weight loss.”

The post comes about six months after the two-time Grammy nominee revealed that he’d lost 70 pounds while preparing for the 2 Bears 5K in April. Jelly has long been open about his weight-loss and fitness goals, sharing back in 2018 that he at one point weighed more than 500 pounds.

In addition to succeeding in his health journey, Jelly also currently has the No. 1 album in the country with Beautifully Broken, which dropped Oct. 10. With 161,000 equivalent album units in first-week sales, the project becomes his first to top the Billboard 200 and follows his previous peak at No. 3 with 2023’s Whitsitt Chapel.

Also on Monday, Bunnie XO — who is married to the “Need a Favor” musician — shared her reaction to the chart news. “You guys!” she wrote on Instagram Stories, adding a sobbing emoji. “We did it!!!!!!”
