James Taylor announces 2026 UK and European tour, including huge London show

James Taylor has announced a huge show in London for 2026, marking his first UK date in three years. Find all the details below.

The US singer-songwriter and his All-Star Band will take to the stage at The O2 on Thursday July 23 as part of a UK and European tour.

Taylor, known for classic tracks such as ‘Fire And Rain’, ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ and ‘Carolina In My Mind’, last performed in the capital in 2022 during his UK and European tour that year.

Other gigs will take place at Edinburgh Castle, The Piece Hall in Halifax, the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and the AFAS Live in Amsterdam in 2026.

Tickets for next year’s UK dates go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (November 7) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time tomorrow (Wednesday November 5) via Taylor’s official website.

The multi-Grammy-winner and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee concluded a North American tour in September. That month, footage emerged of The 1975’s Matty Healy attending one of Taylor’s concerts in the US. His fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, shared videos of the frontman shedding tears in the audience, and called Taylor “his favourite artist”.

Taylor has sold more than 100million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968.

The musician released his 20th and latest studio record, ‘American Standard’, in early 2020. It went on to win the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album award at the 2021 Grammys.

Last year, Taylor spoke out on his set being cut from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois.
