Yesterday (November 6), he Republican nominee and former POTUS has earned 279 electoral college votes, beating out Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ 223 electoral college votes, securing his return to the White House (via BBC News).

After news of Trump’s reelection broke, White took to social media to share his thoughts on the next President of the United States – who he has publicly had issued with in the past. White shared a graphic of a Turkish proverb that reads: “The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them.

The White Stripes frontman wrote: “Trump won the popular vote. End of story. Americans chose a known, obvious fascist and now America will get whatever this wannabe dictator wants to enact from here on in. We all know what he is capable of: Project 2025, deportations, nationwide abortion ban, ending his own 2 term limit, backing Putin and his war, shutting down the Board of Education, adding to climate change, limiting LGBTQ rights, controlling the DOJ, keeping the minimum wage down, etc. etc. etc.. Any or all of it.”

“It’s absolutely dumbfounding that this con man succeeded in pulling the wool over so many Americans eyes not once, but twice,” White continued. “The racist, impeached, convicted felon and convicted rapist who stole national secrets and hid them in his bathroom, who told us to inject bleach, who wanted to fix hurricanes with nuclear weapons, who insulted handicap people, called military veterans suckers, who incited an insurrection that invaded the nation’s capital for God sakes (!!!), the failed business man who’s ventures have all gone bankrupt, a fake Christian selling bibles and sneakers like a carnival side show, etc etc etc.”

Jack White went on to list address a number of groups and Trump’s views on them: “Immigrants? He wants you out… Minorities? He doesn’t care about you at ALL… Women? You know exactly what he thinks of you. Dying on the stretcher from a miscarriage of your rapist’s pregnancy?”

He concluded, writing: “Oh well, too bad. And all those rich pricks riding in their Cybertrucks listening to their Rogan and Bannon and Alex jones podcasts are laughing all the way to the bank looking forward to their tax cuts that don’t apply to the middle class. And not just with the electoral college this time, but the American people with the popular vote showed that the citizens placed him in power and now deserve whatever evils he’s going to enact.”

This is not the first time White has taken to social media to share his disdain for Trump. In August, he warned the Trump presidential campaign not to use his music after a clip of The White Stripes’ music appeared in a video.

The White Stripes’ hit ‘Seven Nation Army’ was used in the clip of Trump travelling on the campaign trail, and White then warned: “Oh….Don’t even think about using my music you fascists” before saying he would be filing a lawsuit for its inappropriate use.”

He continued: “Law suit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.) Have a great day at work today Margo Martin,” he added, referencing Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications.

The lawsuit was filed in September, with Meg and Jack White listed as co-plaintiffs. According to the lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in Manhattan, the band “vehemently oppose the policies adopted and actions taken by Defendant Trump when he was President and those he has proposed for the second term he seeks” (per Pitchfork).

In a post shared to Instagram on September 9, White captioned a copy of the legal complaint: “This machine sues fascists.” During his surprise set at London’s Assembly Hall in September, he seemed to reference the dispute again, telling the crowd: “As soon as you join a political party, someone tries to lie to your face… I got news for you: you got a brain, you got a mind. Can I hear an amen, London!”

In October, he once again hit out at Trump when the incoming President insulted Detroit when delivering a speech in the city. At one point, Trump used the city as an example of what would happen to the country if his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, went on to win the election. “It will be like Detroit,” he said. “Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands.”

White retorted on social media: “What kind of political idiot insults Detroit while SPEAKING TO DETROITERS??? Guess what trump, YOU AIN’T LIKE US. You’re gonna lose Michigan BIGLY you wanna-be dictator orange clown. Go back to your fascist rallies.”
